What are Monday Night Study Tables and Extensions?

What happens on Monday nights?

Monday nights during the school year (see calendar for exact dates) provide ATYP students and parents with learning options.  ALL MONDAY NIGHT EVENTS ARE ON LOCATED AT THE ESC (EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CENTER) OFF THE KNAPP STREET ENTRANCE TO KENT ISD.  PARKING LOT 11.  Ann Hyde is always there on Monday and there is a swtichboard operator also there to monitor the students as they are dropped off or picked up.

MATH:  Each Monday evening we have a tutor/grader at the ESC available to work with any student in need of help.  Each math class has a set time for this help.  The format is a study table with tutor guidance.  This is the same tutor who grades the student work and is available for phone in questions.

LANGUAGE ARTS I EXTENSION NIGHTS:  See the calendar for the exact dates.  LA I Extension nights are class extensions that allow the instructor to dive deeply into the subjects, test the students or show extended clips.  Students are expected to attend.  These extensions are taught by Marcie Woods, the LAI instructor.

PARENT SEMINARS:  Occasionally we have parent seminars on subjects that have traditionally been of interest.  These are optional and parents are invited to attend and bring other interested folk also!  (Those dates and topics are listed on the calendar.)
