THRIVE! Promoting Educator Wellness
Did you know there are nearly 120,000 students throughout Kent and Barry County? They rely on thousands of educators to teach, support and help them reach their full potential. These teachers and educators work tirelessly on behalf of their students every single day. These same educators rely on Kent ISD for support, training, resources and so much more.
One of the new ways Kent ISD is offering support for educators is through a variety of wellness events beginning during Educator Appreciation Week, May 2-6 and continuing throughout the month of May. We’re calling it THRIVE! Promoting Educator Wellness.
THRIVE! will include yoga and mindfulness sessions, a series of trainings on resilience, clinical and therapeutic massages, and a 5K walk/run on and around the Kent ISD campus on Memorial Day. All of these events will help participating educators relax, recharge and recenter, empowering them to continue to do their critical work with students of all ages.
